8 displaced by apartment fire near UNLV

Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- Eight people are now displaced after a fire at an apartment this morning in the 4200 block of Grove Circle near South Maryland Parkway and East Flamingo Road.

The Clark County Fire Department received a call at about 9:09 a.m. Upon arrival, firefighters saw smoke and flames coming from a two-story apartment buildings.

The fire was knocked down at about 9:26 a.m. Two apartments were damaged.

Four people and two children have been displaced. The American Red Cross is assisting them.

The cause of the fire is under investigation. Damage is estimated at $50,000.
