The Washoe County sheriff's office said Thursday the man's body was found a little after 5 p.m. Wednesday on Bear Lake Drive, in the Cold Springs community.

A sheriff's statement calls the death suspicious and says placing the dog in a shelter was done as part of a criminal investigation.
