Brisebell, Dodd honored by Nevada judges group
LAS VEGAS (AP) -- Two southern Nevada judges who are preparing to retire at the end of the year have been honored by an association of the state's 88 justices of the peace and municipal court judges.
Pahrump Justice of the Peace Tina Brisebill and Mesquite Justice of the Peace Ron Dodd recently received Lifetime Jurist Achievement awards from the Nevada Judges of Limited Jurisdiction.
Brisebell began her career in 1983 as the court clerk at Pahrump Justice Court, and became court administrator before being elected to the bench in 2000.
Other judges named her Judge of the Year in 2007.
Dodd began his judicial career as Mesquite municipal judge in 1984, and still holds that position.
He was appointed to also serve as Mesquite Township Justice of the Peace in 1998.
