Kitchen fire at Henderson apartment complex displaces one
Henderson, NV (KTNV) -- A fire that started in a kitchen apartment at the Galleria Palms Apartments on Whitney Ranch Drive has displaced one resident.
The Henderson Fire Department responded to the fire at about 12:30 a.m. this morning after neighbors noticed smoke coming from the apartment.
Residents in nearby apartment were evacuated as a precaution.
The resident of the apartment where the fire started was not home at the time.
The fire was contained to the kitchen and did not damage any other apartments.
The resident of that apartment is now staying with friends.
The cause of the fire is under investigation. Damage is estimated at $8,000.
