Henderson, NV (KTNV) -- A family dog is being called a hero for helping to get a family out of a burning home.
The fire started early Wednesday morning near Eastern and Coronado Center in Henderson.
The dog alerted people inside about the danger and everyone was able to make it out safely.
When firefighters arrived, they found the fire in the attic.
It caused about $10,000 worth of damage before crews were able to put it out.
