New terminal set to open at McCarran Airport
Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- Starting this week, all international flights departing and arriving at McCarran International Airport will take off and land at Terminal 3.
On opening day, four different carriers will be affected: Virgin Atlantic, COPA, Korean Air and British Airways.
International travelers should check ahead to see from which terminal their flight departs.
On Thursday, all other international carriers will move into Terminal 3.
"There will be lots of ways for people to be guided around if you go to the wrong place," said Chris Jones, spokesperson for the airport.
"There will be staff there to redirect you, but obviously, if you know where you're going ahead of time, it's going to be a lot more convenient," said Jones.
Later this year some domestic flights will also use Terminal 3.
"We don't move any domestic flights into the building until the end of July, and then we'll have another couple of airlines that will move over at the end of August," said Jones.
If you are driving to McCarran, make sure to follow the overhead signs providing direction to Terminal 3.
