Police involved in standoff at D Street & Lake Mead
Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- Police were involved in a standoff on Tuesday near Lake Mead and D Street in the northwest part of the Valley.
Metro police say a man wanted for battery domestic violence barricaded himself inside a residents in the 1900 block of D Street on Tuesday morning.
The standoff began at about 10:10 a.m.
Police believe the man may be armed and nearby residents were evacuated.
SWAT was called to the scene to assist officers.
