Fire burning pine trees on Mount Charleston
Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- There is a small fire burning on Mount Charleston.
According to a spokesperson with the Bureau of Land Management, a small fire has burned about a quarter acre near the Fletcher View campground in the Springs Mountain National Recreation Area.
The campground is set in an open forest of ponderosa pine, mountain mahogany and Gambel oak.
The BLM said that the fire, which they are calling the "Harris Fire," is currently burning ponderosa pine.
The fire started Sunday evening. No information has been provided on what started the fire.
