Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- A Las Vegas man was arrested for DUI after crashing into a police vehicle.

It happened just before 10:30 p.m. Friday night on Charleston Boulevard, west of Buffalo Drive.

The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department said an unmarked police vehicle was making a traffic stop on Charleston.

Both vehicles were stopped in the right travel lane, and the officers were inside their vehicle completing paperwork.

A pickup truck was approaching the vehicles from behind, when the driver failed to slow down and collided into the rear-end of the police vehicle.

The collision forced the police vehicle to crash into the vehicle being cited.

Both officers were taken to UMC Trauma Center with minor to moderate injuries. The other drivers had minor injuries.

The driver of the pickup, Michael Goss, 58, of Las Vegas, failed field sobriety tests and was arrested for DUI.
