Motor home and boat destroyed by fire Friday morning
Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- Las Vegas and North Las Vegas firefighters responded to a report of a motor home on fire at about 7:40 a.m. Friday morning in the 610 block of West Monroe Avenue.
On arrival, the motor home was fully involved and the fire was attempting to spread to two nearby buildings, a vacant house and a duplex, which is occupied.
The fire did enter one apartment of the duplex but firefighters were able to extinguish the flames before it did major damage.
In the process, firefighters rescued one woman from that apartment and an adult and two children from the other apartment.
The motor home and a boat were destroyed by the fire. A van and one apartment sustained minor damage.
The cause of the fire is undetermined. Neighbors told investigators that the house has been vacant for two years and homeless people and children are often seen in the house.
Damage was estimated at $10,000.
