Mail truck catches fire in parking lot

Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- A truck that was contracted to the United States Postal Service caught fire in a parking lot Thursday at some time between 11:30 a.m. and noon.
The driver had left the vehicle in the parking lot at the main post office facility on East Sunset Road to go to a store. When he returned, the truck was engulfed.
Firefighters were able to extinguish the fire fairly quickly. No other vehicles in the parking lot were damaged.
The mail truck was not carrying any mail at the time.
The cause of the fire is under investigation although it is believed to be electrical at this time.
