Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) – Las Vegas Fire and Rescue firefighters were called to the Applebee’s at 2070 North Rainbow Boulevard in the Best of the West Shopping Center Thursday. They were called after reports of a fire in the electrical panel box on the outside of the restaurant.

The fire spread up the wall and into the attic where it was extinguished by an automatic fire sprinkler system.

Fire investigators were on scene and determined the fire started in an area where employees smoke and where mops and cleaning supplies are kept.

All employees and customers evacuated the building without injury after the restaurants emergency alarms sounded.

Investigators continue to search for a definite cause; however, damage was estimated at $25,000.

Applebee's corporate offices were not available for a comment.
