5 families displaced in apartment fire on Charleston
Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- Five families were displaced by a fire at an apartment complex on the east side of Las Vegas Wednesday evening.
The Clark County Fire Dept. was called to the apartment complex, on Charleston near Nellis, at about 7:30 p.m.
When they arrived, they found a fire started by an exhaust fan in the bathroom of a vacant apartment unit. Crews were able to stop the fire by about 8 p.m.
Six units were damaged in the blaze, with costs estimated at about $225,000.
No injuries were reported.
The American Red Cross is assisting the more than 15 people who were displaced.
