New details on alleged sexual assault at a local park
Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- New details were released by police Tuesday on the alleged sexual assault that happened at a local park on Monday morning.
Police say the incident happened at Spring Valley Park near Buffalo and Flamingo.
The 15-year-old victim told police she met Nashar Jackson on the bus and he followed her when he got off.
She said she went to the park and Jackson raped her in a stall in the men's bathroom.
The girl then went to the Spring Valley High School nurse's office to report the crime to school officials.
Clark County School District police soon found Jackson nearby, and Metro arrested him.
Jackson told police the teen never said "no" to sex, but a nurse that screened the victim said the teen had injuries consistent with her account of what happened.
Jackson faces one charge of sexual assault.
