North Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- A man is dead from injuries sustained in an auto-pedestrian crash in North Las Vegas back in February.

78-year-old Andras Toth was crossing North Las Vegas Boulevard at Tonopah the afternoon of February 28 when he was struck by a car.

Toth was taken to University Medical Center to be treated for his injuries. On March 15, he was transferred to a rehab center at Valley Hospital where he died on June 2.

Police say the crash was the driver's fault, since the pedestrian was in a crosswalk at the time. Police say Toth had signal, but was walking slowly and the light changed green before he reached the other side of the street.

The law states that the 82-year-old driver should have waited for the pedestrian to cross, regardless of whether the light turned green.

Police also believe the driver was under the influence of prescription medications.

The case has been passed along to the District Attorney's office. The DA will determine whether or not the driver will face charges.
