Coroner IDs Henderson man killed after hitting city truck

Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- The Clark County coroner has identified the 21-year-old man from Henderson that was killed on June 16 as David Doss.

According to the Henderson Police Department, Doss was traveling at a high rate of speed on his motorcycle when he collided with a Ford F-150 truck driven by city of Henderson employee Danielle Havis.

Havis was making a left-hand turn from Plain Sight Avenue onto Whitney Ranch Drive at about 3:50 p.m. June 16.

Doss was taken to Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center but died at about 11:50 p.m. Havis, who was working at the time of the accident, sustained minor injuries.

It is unknown at this time if drugs or alcohol were also factors in the crash.

The accident is still under investigation.

So far this year, there have been seven fatal accidents resulting in 10 deaths in Henderson.
