Metro holds seminar on human sex trafficking
Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department is working desperately to get a handle on the growing trend of human sex trafficking.
Local police say gangs are now using sex trafficking to help fund their operations.
In a seminar Saturday, Metro said sexual predators target girls as young as 12-years-old.
And awareness for parents is key to identifying the warning signs.
Metro said predators are now using social media to lure kids into the sex trade.
Parents should be on alert for warning signs, including withdrawn behavior.
