Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- It's graduation season, and for two local teenagers getting their diplomas means so much more.

Kaleigh Fair's path to graduation was much longer than a walk across the stage. She's battling two very rare diseases.

Needing daily medical care, Kaleigh opted to take her high school classes online through Nevada Virtual Academy.

Not wanting to be apart, Kaleigh's sister Danielle did the same.

Thanks to those online classes, both girls received their diplomas.

The Fair sisters will be attending UNLV this fall.

Danielle wants to be an FBI agent; Kaleigh plans to study medicine.
