Toddler presumed drowned at Lake Mead
Lake Mead, NV (KTNV) -- Rangers at Lake Mead are reporting that a toddler was presumed drowned Friday morning in the area of Las Vegas Boat Harbor.
Officials received a 911 call regarding the missing boy at around 11:15 a.m.
Rangers began searching the harbor area by foot and water with the assistance of harbor employees.
The child was found at around 12 p.m. by divers and was declared dead soon after.
National Park Service officials are still investigating the situation.
The toddler's identity and the actual cause of death will be released by the Clark County Coroner's Office.
