Students get to experience the workforce first-hand
Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- Dozens of teenagers are being exposed to the real world this summer, thanks a special program through the Latin Chamber of Commerce.
The at-risk kids, ages 14 to 19, are getting paid to see what kinds of careers they might be interested in.
Based on their interests, they're taking positions in retail, law offices and other fields to find a good fit.
Organizers say, in previous years, this program has solved a lot of problems connected to summer boredom.
More than 1,500 businesses that partner with the Latin Chamber say they're willing to take the teenagers for the summer.
