Consul General of Israel in Los Angeles talks about Middle East situation
Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- You may have noticed gas prices falling at the pumps.
David Siegel, the Consul General of Israel in Los Angeles, sat down with Action News Wednesday.
He talked about the price of gas falling and how that could be making some people forget about a very serious situation in the Middle East.
There's still a real threat of war between Israel and Iran.
Siegel said he hopes the economic sanctions the U.S. is planning to impose on Iran will stop the Iranians' nuclear buildup.
The next meeting between the U.S., Iran and many other nations is next week.
Siegel is hopeful Iran will back down but said Israel won't hesitate to use military force if negotiations don't work.
Some Middle East experts have even predicted Israel could attack Iran soon after the American presidential election in November.
