Henderson, NV (KTNV) -- A neighborhood in Henderson is looking a bit cleaner after an effort to clean up litter and debris.

Residents of the Sunrise Trailer Estates partnered with the City of Henderson to improve their neighborhood during a three-day cleanup program.

10 dumpsters were placed throughout the neighborhood. Residents were then able to get rid of trash, bulky waste and yard debris.

At the end of the program, more than 58,000 pounds of trash were collected.

"I'm extremely proud of this program and the commitment of all the families in this neighborhood," said Henderson Mayor Andy Hafen.

Sunrise Trailer Estates was selected for this program, due to the high number of litter, trash and debris code enforcement violations.

The community includes about 775 homes and 2,150 residents.
