Low turnout as polls close in Nevada primary

 LAS VEGAS (AP) -- Election officials are predicting a low final turnout as polls close in Nevada's primary election.

Secretary of State Ross Miller says many counties were reporting about 20 percent turnout in Tuesday's election.

Dan Burk, Washoe County's registrar of voters, estimates county turnout would end up between 15 percent and 20 percent.
 
The U.S. House and Senate primary races that could decide which political party controls Congress after November. Polls opened at 7 a.m. and closed at 7 p.m.
 
Voters also weighed in on state Senate, Assembly and numerous local races.
 
Democrats hold a slim 11-10 majority in the state Senate and the GOP hopes a few key races will tip the balance in their favor. Democrats also control the Assembly.
 
In Laughlin, a push toward incorporation is on the ballot.
