Oceguera releases statement following primary win
Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- Nevada Assembly Speaker and Congressional Candidate John Oceguera released this statement after winning the NV-03 Democratic Primary:
“I am honored to receive the nomination, but I know this election will not be about party politics. It will be about our priorities. With so many of our friends and neighbors suffering, we have to get our economy back on track - and we do that by balancing the budget the right way. We have to protect Social Security and Medicare for seniors who have paid into it after a lifetime of hard work. And we have to make sure Nevada’s kids get the best education possible. Education made all the difference in my life, and it is critical to the economic future of our state. And, I will fight to make sure every veteran and their families have access to the best health care, including mental health services, and the job opportunities they deserve. Those are some of the priorities I know Nevadans share with me, and I will fight for them as a member of Congress.”
