Woman critical after hit and run, police looking for driver

North Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- North Las Vegas police are looking for a driver involved in a hit-and-run incident this morning that has left a 29-year-old North Las Vegas woman fighting for her life.

The incident was reported at about 3 a.m. today. The woman was riding her mo-ped westbound on Craig Road at Revere Street.

According to witnesses, a small, black two-door sports car (possibly a Toyota) was also traveling westbound at a very high rate of speed when it hit the woman from behind.

The victim was transported to University Medical Center Trauma and is in critical condition.

Police officers are on the scene and are investigating. They do not expect to clear the scene until about 7 a.m. Motorists are advised to avoid the area.
