Pot case dropped in 'Suge' Knight arrest in Vegas
LAS VEGAS (AP) -- Rap music mogul Marion "Suge" Knight has been cleared of a marijuana possession allegation stemming from a February traffic stop in Las Vegas.
An aide to Clark County District Attorney Steve Wolfson said Wednesday that prosecutors decided there was insufficient evidence to charge the 47-year-old former Death Row Records executive.
Las Vegas Municipal Court records show attorney Richard Schonfeld entered a no contest plea for Knight's driving without a license charge and Knight paid a $425 fine. Other charges were dismissed.
Knight was arrested Feb. 8 in Las Vegas on warrants after police say he failed to appear in court on tickets issued in November 2008.
Police also accused him of possessing less than one ounce of marijuana in the car.
