Vegas police to talk anonymous tips at open house
LAS VEGAS (AP) -- Las Vegas police are spreading the word about the Crime Stoppers anonymous tip system during their monthly First Tuesday outreach.
Residents can attend the open house-style talks 7 p.m. Tuesday at any of the department's area command stations. A list of locations is available on the department's website.
Crime Stoppers is an international program that handles more than 10,000 crime-related tips each year in Nevada.
First Tuesday gives residents a chance to learn about how police do their jobs, and to meet the officers who work in their neighborhood.
