Zappos begins renovations of old city hall
Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- Today marks the beginning of work on the future home of Zappos' global headquarters.
Zappos plans to mark the beginning of the renovations at the old city hall complex in downtown Las Vegas with a sledgehammer ceremony.
After the first holes are knocked in the interior walls this afternoon, the company's contractor will begin work on the inside of the building.
The 40-year-old building is not being knocked down but it does need extensive renovations so that it can accommodate Zappo's two thousand employees.
Zappos has not revealed the details of its plans .. they are still working on them but they have said that they plan to keep the old jail cells.
