North Las Vegas firefighters respond to electrical box fire

North Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- The North Las Vegas Fire Department responded to a fire in an electrical box outside of a home at about 2:10 a.m. this morning.

The fire took place at a house in the 4900 block of Nestled Grove Drive, near North Decatur Boulevard and West Lone Mountain Road.

The outside of the house also caught fire. However, the fire department was able to put the fire out quickly and damage was contained to the exterior.

The residents of the home and their pets were able to escape safely. They are able to return to the house but will not have electricity for the time being.

A neighboring house also briefly caught fire but there was very little damage.

The fire is still under investigation. No damage estimate has been provided.
