Mitt Romney rallies supporters at unlikely Las Vegas spot
Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- Republican presidential hopeful Mitt Romney made a campaign stop in Las Vegas on Tuesday, and the backdrop was one many might not expect.
The rally took place at 3:30 p.m. at a furniture store near Sunset and Valley View.
Somers Furniture store was chosen because the owners, once staunch Obama supporters, recently shifted their support and say they'll be voting for Romney should he make the ballot come November.
A banner that read "Obama's Not Working" summed up the sentiment of Romney supporters at the event.
More than 250 people attended the rally on a day that Romney could clinch the GOP nomination as the state of Texas holds its primaries.
Romney's speech at the rally touched on his plan to provide tax relief for small-business owners and help create new jobs.
Nevada Governor Bryan Sandoval joined Romney in front of the crowd for part of his speech. Congressman Joe Heck was also in attendance.
After the rally, Romney will appear at a fundraising event at Trump Tower.
