Bicyclist critical after being hit by truck in west Las Vegas

Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- A bicyclist was in critical condition after being hit by a truck shortly after 8 p.m. Saturday night on Springburn Lane, near Alta Drive and the Las Vegas Beltway.
According to Las Vegas Metropolitan Police, the truck was traveling southbound on Springburn and the bicyclist was traveling northbound when the truck attempted to make a left-hand turn and hit the bicyclist.
The bicyclist was transported to University Medical Center in critical condition.
The accident is still under investigation.
