Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- Michael Belton, the man accused of trying to rob the Bellagio last weekend, appeared in court this morning.

A preliminary hearing has been set for 9 a.m. June 6. He is currently being held without bail at the Clark County Detention Center.

Belton told Action News in a jailhouse interview yesterday that he's "an idiot" and admitted to attempting to robbing the Bellagio.

Belton said he entered the casino Saturday night wearing a wig and sunglasses with a man who goes by "Carlos." Carlos pepper sprayed the dealer while Belton grabbed the chips.

Las Vegas police are also looking for another man named Carlos Rodriquez who Belton says was the mastermind behind the plan to rob the casino.
