Sunday morning fire damages house used by homeless people
Clark County, NV (KTNV) -- The Clark County Fire Department was called to a house fire Sunday morning.
It happened just before 9:30 a.m. at the southwest corner of Frank Street and Mohave Avenue.
When firefighters arrived, heavy smoke and flames were coming from the single-story house. The fire was knocked down at 9:41 a.m.
No injuries were reported.
Officials believe the house was being occupied by homeless people, who had illegally obtained access to the home.
The cause of the fire is under investigation. Damage is estimated at $40,000.
Residents are reminded to call police if they suspect a home is being occupied illegally.
