School board approves final budget
Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- The School Board approved its final budget for next school year on Wednesday, signaling impending layoffs and increased class sizes.
The Clark County School District faced a $60 million budget shortfall, prompting the district to cut supplies and ask employees to agree to pay freezes.
The final budget approved by the Board of Trustees will require the district to lay off 1,015 employees and increase class sizes by about 2 to 3 students.
