Police seek victims of alleged police impersonator
Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- The Las Vegas Metro Police Department is asking victims of an alleged police impersonator to step forward.
Police say a dark SUV used red and blue flashing lights to attempted to pull over women driving on Sahara Avenue between Town Center Drive and the 215.
Authorities think 32-year-old Ryan Patrick Johns may be responsible. He was arrested on May 7 on an outstanding warrant with an open container in his SUV. When he reclaimed his vehicle from a tow company on a separate incident, an employee told police there was a gun, handcuffs and a police badge inside.
Johns is described as 6-feet 2-inches tall, 220 pounds with brown hair and blue eyes. His car is described as a dark gray 2008 GMC Yukon, license plate number 737-WTN.
Police are currently investigating two incidences of police impersonation. Anyone who may have come in contact with Johns is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 385-5555.
