Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- Action News launched its "Be Smart. Be Safe." campaign last year after the tragic death of Amelia "Mia" Decker in a crosswalk in North Las Vegas.

It is part of our commitment to help make Las Vegas a better place to live.

As part of the campaign, we have asked both pedestrians and drivers to sign pledges about paying more attention and following the rules when they are walking or driving.

Action News has also distributed stickers for windshields to remind drivers to be more careful.

Now, Action News is asking for businesses around the valley to participate in our campaign.

One of the first to participate is the Las Vegas Ice Center and Broosky's Bar and Grill near Flamingo Road and Fort Apache.

The Las Vegas Ice Center is a full-service ice skating and hockey facility featuring two sheets of ice and a pro shop.

Broosky's features hockey games on its televisions and handmade pizza.

Action News is asking other local businesses to do the same. Just put "Be Smart. Be Safe." on your sign or marquee facing the street and send us a photo at photos@ktnv.com.

Also include a brief description of your business.

We will be featuring businesses who participate on our newscasts and on our website.
