Crews fight massive blaze on Jones & Smoke Ranch
Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- Dozens of people were displaced by a massive blaze at an apartment building near Jones and Smoke Ranch on Thursday evening.
Crews were called to the scene at about 6:30 p.m. When they arrived, firefighters discovered flames pouring from the second story of a Tucumcari Drive complex.
Occupants of the building were quickly evacuated as firefighters worked for the next few hours to control the blaze.
Residents watched from across the street as their homes were destroyed. Fire authorities said damage to the building was extensive.
The Red Cross responded to the fire to assist the approximately 39 people displaced.
A spokesperson for the fire department said no injuries were reported.
