Double-murder suspect appears in court for domestic violence case
Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- The 22-year-old man suspected in the brutal slayings of a mother and daughter and the sexual assault of another woman appeared in a Las Vegas courtroom this morning on an unrelated domestic violence case.
Bryan Clay was first arrested last Friday for failing to appear April 3 for that case. After his arrest, he was also charged in the brutal slayings of Ignacia "Yadira" Martinez and her daughter, Karla.
The 16-year-old ex-girlfriend, Erin Frost, spoke to Action News about the abuse that she allegedly suffered at the hands of Bryan Clay.
A preliminary hearing date for the domestic violence case was set for May 15. Clay does not have a lawyer yet.
Clay is scheduled to appear in court tomorrow morning for his 72-hour hearing for the murders of the mother and daughter, the attack on husband and father, Arturo Martinez, and the attack and sexual assault of a 50-year-old woman shortly before the murders.
