Las Vegas slaying suspect due in court in earlier case
LAS VEGAS (AP) -- The suspect in the brutal sex attacks and hammer slaying of a Las Vegas mother and her daughter is due in court in a separate case alleging he failed to appear April 3 on a felony summons in a child abuse case involving a teenage girlfriend.
Bryan Devonte Clay Jr. also faces yet another pending felony case Tuesday accusing him of robbery and domestic battery.
The 22-year-old Clay doesn't have a lawyer yet. He was arrested Friday -- first on a warrant in the child abuse case and then on charges including murder, assault with a deadly weapon and sexual assault in the April 15 slayings of Ignacia Yadira Martinez and 10-year-old Karla Martinez.
Clay also is accused of attacking and critically injuring husband and father Arturo Martinez.
