Trial delayed for man accused of killing local dancer
Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- A new trial date was set this morning for the man accused of killing local professional dance Debbie Flores-Narvaez.
Jason Griffith is scheduled to appear in court at 10 a.m. on Aug. 13.
Debbie Flores-Narvaez, a dancer in Luxor's "Fantasy" show, was last seen on Dec. 12, 2010 at Griffith's house. He was her ex-boyfriend.
Investigators found Flores-Narvae's body one month later in a downtown abandoned home. She had been dismembered and hidden in cement-filled tubs.
An arrest report from October of 2010 alleged that Griffith had hit and kicked Flores-Narvaez. He was charged with battery and coercion at that time.
This is not the first time that Griffith's trial has been delayed. It was also delayed in December of 2011.
