Coroner IDs Utah teen killed in Southern Nevada rollover
LAS VEGAS (AP) -- Authorities have identified a 16-year-old Utah girl who was killed in a southern Nevada rollover crash that also injured six other people in the car.
The Clark County coroner says Stephanie Rodriguez of Spanish Fork was killed in the crash about 7 p.m. Friday on Interstate 15.
Nevada Highway Patrol officials say 40-year-old Sonia Rodriguez was driving a Chevy Blazer near mile marker 102 when a tire started to deflate. She lost control of the vehicle, which rolled over several lanes and into the median.
The teen was ejected and died at the scene. A 37-year-old woman, the driver, and a 9-year-old boy were airlifted to the hospital. A 19-year-old woman, and two girls ages 16 and 7, were taken to the hospital by ambulance.
All were from Spanish Fork.
