The Orleans hosts annual Best in Show
Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- The Orleans hosted the 9th annual Best in Show Sunday.
It's Las Vegas' most famous dog show, featuring 50 shelter dogs from the Animal Foundation.
The dogs compete for the audience's hearts in several categories. Those with the most crowd applause advance to compete for the title of "Best in Show."
While the dogs are the stars, the main goal is to help raise money that benefits more than 50,000 unwanted or abandoned animals that come through the shelter each year.
"That's what the community awareness is all about. Yes it's fun to adopt the animals here, and it's a great show, and it's great family time, and it's also a real opportunity to find out about the real challenges we have in this community," said Christine Robinson with the Animal Foundation.
All the dogs out at the show Sunday were up for adoption.
