Cause of death released for mom killed in double murder

Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- The Clark County coroner's office has determined that 38-year-old Ignancia Martinez died from multiple blunt force head injuries from an assault.

Martinez and her daughter, 10-year-old Karla Martinez, were discovered dead in their home on April 16 after a 9-year-old boy told school officials at his school that his mother and sister had been killed.

The coroner said yesterday that Karla Martinez died as a result of multiple blunt force injuries.

A man that was covered in blood was also transported to the hospital. According to family friends, the man in the hospital is the husband of Ignancia Martinez.

The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department has released few details about the homicides since the morning of the incident.
