Hundreds of meals sold to benefit family of Little Leaguer
Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- A heartwarming show of support was shown this weekend for the family of a Little League player, who suddenly collapsed and died.
A spaghetti feed fundraiser was held Saturday for the family of 8-year-old Spencer Melvin. The family saw an overwhelming response.
Organizers are still trying to tally just how much money they raised, but they told Action News that 1,300 dinners were sold.
They were charging $5 a plate, but many people donated much more than the minimum.
