UPDATE: Pedestrian hit and killed in Laughlin
Laughlin, NV (KTNV) -- Las Vegas Metropolitan Police are investigating a fatal accident on Casino Drive in front of the Aquarius Casino Resort in Laughlin.
It happened just before 9 p.m. Saturday.
According to Metro Police, a 62-year-old man from Huntington Beach, California was hit and killed by the driver of a Ford truck. His name has not been released.
Police believe the truck was traveling south on Casino Drive, in the right of two southbound lanes.
The victim and his wife were crossing Casino Drive from the east curb to the west curb, outside of a marked crosswalk or intersection. The victim entered the right travel lane and was hit by the truck. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Authorities say it appears the pedestrian was at fault.
