Family, friends of Mia Decker hold fundraiser for crosswalk project
North Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- Family and friends of Mia Decker gathered Saturday to raise money for their crosswalk project in North Las Vegas.
A garage sale was held at Bent Arrow Drive and Camino Eldorado. That's the site where little Mia Decker was killed, as she crossed the street with two young friends.
The City of North Las Vegas plans to enhance the crosswalk at that location. Upgrades will include the installation of rapid flashing lights, attached to crosswalk signs in both directions.
Mia Decker's mother plans on presenting the city with the additional improvement money later this week.
