Henderson, NV (KTNV ) -- Henderson Police are investigating a home invasion and robbery that happened around 8 p.m. Friday, March 23. The homeowner was stabbed during the incident.

Four male suspects, all wearing hoods and masks, entered a home on Inveraray Court -- near Green Valley and Wigwam Parkways -- in the upscale Grand Legacy subdivision, which overlooks the Legacy Golf Club.

Neighbors are fearful. They wonder how the suspects got inside their secure, gated community.

"We thought we lived in a very safe neighborhood," says Marianne Lanuti. "To find out this happened to my wonderful neighbor, while I was on my evening walk, is traumatizing. I don't feel secure. Those men who did this are still on the loose."

Police say the suspects stabbed the 50-year-old male homeowner several times. His wife was also home at the time, but she was not injured. The victim was taken to an area hospital and is expected to recover from his wounds.

The suspects got away with cash and jewelry from the home. Detectives say the robbery does not appear random. They're continuing to follow up on leads.

The suspects were only described as male. According to police, only one of the suspects spoke, and he had a heavy accent.

Anyone with information is urged to call the Henderson Police Department at (702) 267-4750 or, to remain anonymous, call Crime Stoppers at (702) 385-5555.

Tips directly leading to an arrest or an indictment processed through Crime Stoppers may result in a cash reward.
