Henderson, NV (KTNV) -- A 73-year-old man was killed while trying to cross Boulder Highway near West Warm Springs Road at about 12:10 a.m. Wednesday, March 14.

According to Henderson Police Department, the man was outside of a crosswalk and against the light when he was struck by a 2001 Chevrolet truck driven by 25-year-old Brandon Flick.

The driver was heading northbound on Boulder Highway through the intersection on a green light.

A preliminary investigation indicates that speed and alcohol were not factors in the accident.

The Clark County coroner's office will release the victim's name after his family has been notified.
