Amber Alert issued for 3 children possibly heading to Las Vegas
Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- Officers in two states are looking for a woman and her three kidnapped children who may be heading to -- or already in -- Las Vegas.
An Amber Alert was issued early Sunday morning for 9-year-old Ubaldo Guerrero-Lopez Jr., 7-year-old Mirella Guerrero-Lopez, and 5-year-old Esmerelda Guerrero-Lopez.
Their mother, Bertha Guerrero-Castro, had the three children for a weekend visit in Boise, Idaho. She was supposed to return them to their foster parents on Saturday, but never did.
Nevada Highway Patrol troopers say they stopped Castro near Tonopah a few hours before she was due back in Boise. The children had not been officially declared missing at that point. Troopers gave her a ticket for speeding and let her go.
Authorities think Guerrero-Castro may be on her way to Las Vegas or already in Las Vegas with the children.
Guerrero-Castro may be driving a gray Pontiac with Nevada plates 389-XPR. She is described at 5-feet 1-inch and 139 pounds.
Anyone who sees her or the three children is asked to call 911.
