Communities in Schools of Nevada honor Random Acts of Kindness Day
Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- The Communities in Schools of Nevada is encouraging the public to celebrate Random Acts of Kindness Day today, Feb. 17, by supporting volunteer programs that help nearly 25,000 students.
More than 133 children drop out of school each day in Nevada, leaving fewer than 45 percent of high schools to graduate.
CISN strives to surround students with a community of support. They depend on the help of dedicated volunteers to provide the resources that children need to graduate on time and become prepared for college, a career and a life.
Random Acts of Kindness Day is an unofficial holiday that was created to celebrate random acts of kindness. People are encouraged to something kind for a friend or a stranger for no reason at all.
Kindness ideas, stories and resources can be found at randomactsofkindness.org.
